Happy Tails

Ralph was adopted by one of our Animal Care Attendants in July of 2020. We have enjoyed being able to watch this little ball of fluff grow into a handsome young man in his loving furever home.

"I first met Ralph when I was doing my Veterinary Assistant placement at QHS. He was just a small black puffball with an eye infection. He often got so excited to see you that he would slip and almost dive out of his kennel. I would go in and spent my breaks with him and try to cuddle him, which he had different ideas about. Ralph is an explorer and has no time for cuddles. I adopted him right after I finished my placement and started my career at QHS. Ralph now spends his days chasing springs, lounging on the cat tree, playing with his brother Theo and guarding his bunny Penny. We are still learning to be gentle and have no sense of patience but overall he is still that bouncing bundle of joy that I first met in the shelter."

 

 

February Statistics

During the month of February, we saw 81 animals come through our doors. We welcomed 63 cats, 14 dogs, 1 frog, 1 Rabbit and 2 fish tanks containing various fish.
We adopted out 39 cats and 10 dogs and were able to reunite 6 dogs with their families.
A total of 28 animals were transferred to like-minded shelters and rescue organizations.
 

Upcoming Events

TV Bingo

Thankfully COVID cases have been decreasing in our area in February, and popularity surrounding our TV Bingo Program has increased!
We were granted permission to resume TV Bingo in Cogeco Studios in mid-February, once the provincial lockdown was lifted. This fundraiser has really taken off! What a fun and safe way to support the homeless animals of the Quinte Region! I would like to thank all of our Volunteers that assist weekly in coordinating this program! We would also like to extend thanks to YourTV Cogeco for supporting such a worthy cause! And a BIG thank you to all of our players!
