Happy Tails 😻

Kilimanjaro, now named Roast Beef, came into our care in May of 2020 as a part of a litter of seven. She was adopted in June by a wonderful family that adores her. We were given and update by her mom stating “Kilimanjaro, renamed Roast Beef by our 4-year-old, is doing amazing in just a few days with us. She’s such a good cat, we love her so much! Our daughter adores her and gave her a blanket and a toy to sleep with”. We are so happy she has found such a loving home and are loving the new name!

July 2020 Stats

During the month of July, we had 160 animals come into our care. We received 125 cats, 33 dogs and 2 mice. We adopted out 41 cats, 8 dogs, 1 mouse, and 1 Parakeet. We returned 3 cats and 13 dogs to their owners. We also transferred out 65 animals to other like minded shelters and rescue organizations. The rest of the animals will stay with us until they find their furever home.

QHS Update

Adoptions by appointment only continued for the month with a great response! With the new protocols in place to keep both staff and the public safe, we were able to reunite animals with their new furever homes. We will continue operating this way for the foreseeable future.

We are excited to announce that our Wiggle Waggle Walkathon is going virtual with the Sniff Your Own Adventure Edition sponsored by Pet Pawsitive’s Luxury Pet Resort! Walkers can sign up on our website (https://walk.quintehumanesociety.com/) and collect pledge like previous years! This year walkers are encouraged to sniff our their own adventures wherever their nose may take them between Saturday, September 12th and September 19th. Walkers are encouraged to submit a short video of their walk adventures on our facebook event page and the video with the most likes will receive a fabulous spa package from Little Stinkers! Just like the previous years, we are still offering a lovely gift basket full of toys and treats for the top three donation collectors, as well as pledge level rewards. We are looking forward to seeing everyone’s videos of their adventures!
