Quinte Humane Society is seeking to appoint an individual with a financial background to serve on our Board of Directors commencing April 2018.

Our Board of Directors is a Governance Model focused on the humane care of animals that are neglected, abused, exploited, stray or homeless.

Directors provide oversight and are accountable for the financial health of the organization, compliance with relevant legislation, meeting animal welfare standards, and achieving performance outcomes in keeping with best practices in shelter management.

You would be required to attend monthly Board meetings, participate on selected committees and/or task groups, and participate in Governance education.

Directors serve a 3 year renewable term with a maximum term or 6 years.
