Covid-19 Response
As a result of the WHO declaration regarding the Covid-19 pandemic, the Quinte Humane Society, with the safety of staff, volunteers, the public and of course our animal population in mind, will be restricting access to our facility to essential personnel.
During this time, we will not be accepting owner surrenders, public strays, animal visits, nor conducting adoptions through the shelter. We will however continue to staff our phone lines and update our website with relevant information as it becomes available. If you see a stray that requires assistance you may continue to contact animal control for your area until such time as your municipality gives other instructions.
The management team will be exploring options to mediate this situaion and we will share any solutions we develop as soon as they can be implemented.
We will continue to offer cat adoption through our Petsmart adoption centre as long as they are able to assist us in this capacity. As always, we would like to thank Petsmart for this amazing opportunity.
These restrictions will remain in place until the healthcare crisis has been resolved.
The facility will remain staffed by our dedicated team of professionals and the animals will continue to receive the excellent level of care for which we are known. We have taken this step to ensure their continued safety with minimal risk to those involved.
We thank you for your understanding and support and look forward to returning to regular service levels in the future.
Sincerely,
Frank Rockett
