In an overwhelming display of civic leadership, the students at Stirling Public School presented a cheque for $ 542.52 to the Quinte Humane Society, along with baskets of blankets and other supplies for the shelter. It gives me a great deal of hope for the future when I see our youth take a leadership role in the community and put forth such an effort to assist those less fortunate than themselves, in this case, the over 150 animals that currently call our shelter home.

I would also like to thank Stirling Rotary for their efforts to promote community involvement amongst the students.
