Adira

Adira is a very special girl and is looking for a very special home! She has Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH), this means her cerebellum was not fully developed as a kitten which results in her lacking coordination. But don't worry it doesn't slow her down and she doesn’t even notice she’s different than other kitties! She is not in any pain, but she is considered special needs. The saying that cats "always land on all fours" certainly does not apply to this girl! While she does well going up obstacles (stairs, scratching posts, etc.), she usually has a crash landing coming down. She would likely need a "safe space" for when her people are not home, just to make sure she does not injure herself. She seems to have good control of her front end; it is her back end, specifically around her hips, that she really lacks coordination.

But enough about her condition, now all about her personality! One of Adiras favourite things to do is play; she loves plastic balls and pipe cleaners! She is a very sweet and loving girl. She has a very loud purr and loves a good cuddle. She actually enjoys being picked up and held like a baby. She also loves other cats! Her feline friends need to tolerate her jumping and tumbling on them though as one of her favourite games is chasing them around! Given her CH if she were to have dog or children friends, they would need to know to play gently with her. She has such an easygoing personality, she settles in well to new situations.
