Tune into CJBQ 800 AM to listen live on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:25 AM for Featured Pets and other great information about QHS proudly sponsored by CJBQ, the station that cares about community!
Calvin came into our care on Canada Day. He wasn’t in the greatest condition upon arrival, but nothing a little TLC and flea treatment couldn’t remedy. He was either a once loved pet, or an excellent hunter because he hadn’t missed any meals during his time on the lam. We’ve had a chance to get to know this lively lad, and he is a leader through and through. Calvin dictates how his day will play out, and the amount of attention he’d like to receive. He is either relaxed and cat napping the day away or standing on his two back feet fiddling with his kennel door- plotting his great escape. Calvin is an independent cat- at 4 years old he has it all figured out. How to score extra treats, how to open his kennel door, and how to pull at your pant leg as you walk by in order to grab your attention. He is a very sweet, bright orange tabby who is looking for a home where he can be the star of the show. No other animals for this boy- and he is searching for a home with no children under 15 years. Calvin can become overly stimulated but knows his puuurfect match is just around the corner- someone who is an experienced cat owner, and understands and respects that just like us- sometimes a cat requires some space to breathe and reflect, maybe have a snack and wind down. Calvin is patiently waiting for his forever! He has been neutered, vaccinated, dewormed and he’s received his yearly rabies vaccine. Once adopted Calvin will be microchipped, and his new parents will receive 4 weeks’ free trial pet insurance, and some extras from our Community Partners! Please consider Calvin as your forever friend!
