Tune into CJBQ 800 AM to listen live on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:25 AM for Featured Pets and other great information about QHS proudly sponsored by CJBQ, the station that cares about community!
Carmen is a 5-year-old Jack Russel mix. She is a spayed female. She was surrendered when her owner was unable to look after her and walk her as much as she needed. Carmen is both house trained and crate trained. She enjoys sleeping in a comfy, cozy bed. Carmen is not good off-leash, and will need a fenced yard or a safe place where she can be tied up and monitored when outside. She can be destructive when left alone, so having her in a crate when she cannot be watched is the best idea. She has not had any destruction issues here, as she is given limited items when staff is not around. Carmen has had no training and does jump up on you. Her history with children is unknown, but staff believes she would do fine in a home with older kids as she is a very friendly girl. Because she likes to bark at strangers and new things, it is suggested that she does not live in an apartment. She has been around cats, and her surrender form says she is fine with them. She would need to be dog tested, and have a meet in greet before being adopted into a home with another dog. If you are interested in adopting Carmen, come take her for a walk, she really loves her walks and she can’t wait to meet her furever family.
Carmen’s Adoption fee is: $300 including first vaccines, kennel cough vaccine, deworming, microchip, 4 weeks of free pet insurance, and a free health exam at a participating local vet.
