Harley is a 3-year-old male cat who has been with us for almost 6 months now. Harley was a bit grumpy when he came in but has since settled into life at the shelter. He can take some time getting used to new people, but when he does, he will follow you around like a little shadow and become the sweetest boy. Harley does not really like being picked up, he is tolerant of it for a moment, but would prefer to keep all 4 feet on the ground. He will be best suited to a home with adults and older children as he will give love nibbles to get you to continue petting him. Harley does not like dogs. He would likely be okay in a home with a younger female cat whom he could be the boss of. He does not like male cats, or other cats with a dominant personality. Harley would really love it if his new family wanted to take him outside on a harness & leash or if they had a catio for him to hang out in as he would really enjoy getting some safe outdoor time. The harness and leash would need to be extremely well fit and he would need to not be able to escape it as some cats can. He would also need to be monitored while on harness at all times. Harley will need to have a slow feeding dish, as he really enjoys his food and gobbles it down to fast, making himself sick. Since switching his dish at the shelter, he has had no issues. Harley is such a great cat, and he hopes to meet his new family before the holidays this year!
