Hawkins came into the care of Humane Society HPE as a stray and was not claimed. He has been in the care of our staff for a little over a month, and they have slowly been working on getting him to come out of his shell. Hawkins is a shy guy, he is still a bit unsure of humans and the love and affection we give. His new home will need to be patient as it will take some time for him to bond with his new family. Once he does, he will be the sweetest boy! Hawkins is still young, only 7 months old, and it shows in his playful personality. He absolutely loves other cats. He would do best in a home that had another outgoing cat to help bring him out of his shell and show him how life as an indoor cat works. The way to Hawkins heart is through his stomach. He loves food and treats, which can be used to help gain his trust with you. Hawkins perfect home would be nice and quiet as loud noises and sudden movement can be scary for him at times. He would be suitable for a home with older children (preferably 10+ years). Due to his timid nature, a home without canine friends would be preferred. Hawkins is just waiting for his new furever family to give him a chance!
