Herman

Meet Herman! He has been with us for 2 ½ months. Herman came to the shelter in rough shape. He had a hernia that needed repair, missing fur and eye infections. He has been in recovery and is now doing amazingly. At 5 years old, Herman has plenty of years of love to give. He is such a lover and just wants to be near people. He is fine with being held and LOVES to be cuddled by his human. He will hug you and head butt you trying to get all your attention. He is an easy going cat who seems to get along fine with another cat that is laid back and easy going. He does not want a young, playful feline friend as they have too much energy for him. Herman is eager to meet the dogs he’s seen here; he comes up to the front of the cage out of curiosity. He does not hiss or swat at them. He would probably be fine in a home with a dog who knows how to leave kitties alone. Herman is still very playful and especially enjoys jingle balls and crinkly toys. Herman has been neutered and had his hernia fixed and he no longer needs to wear his adorable little surgery shirt. He still has a few bald patches behind his ears, but they seem to be growing back. Herman will need to be on Anallergenic food for the rest of his life. This is the only food that his stomach can handle and he cannot have any wet food or treats, unless they are anallergenic as well. If you would like to meet the friendliest cat, come by the shelter at 527 Avonlough Road, Belleville.
