Jeannie-Mae came into the care of HSHPE when she was not getting along with the other dog in the home. At first, she is shy with new people but once she warms up, her personality comes out and she is a true sweetheart.
Going for walks is on the top of her list of things she likes to do. She is looking for a family that has time to spend outside with her. Due to her breed, she must remain on a leash, as she will take off on a scent trail. A fenced-in yard would be ideal for sweet Jeannie-Mae.
After playtime, Jeannie-Mae loves to curl up on a cozy bed or couch and get some attention for her two-legged friends. Once settled into her new environment, she loves to give hugs and cuddles.
Jeannie-Mae is house-trained in a home environment, but with all dogs adopted from the shelter, she will need time to adjust to her new routine in her new home.
A home where this shy but sweet girl is the only pet would be ideal. She prefers to be the Queen of the castle and the center of her family’s attention. Her new home should be adult-only or have older dog-savvy children. She is still young and could use some training as it seems she hasn’t had any.
