John

John came to us when his finder realized he had some medical issues that needed to be taken care of. He was jaundiced at the time as well as being anemic. He has since recovered and is now ready to find his furever home.

This senior boy is a character. He is extremely playful and can often be found entertaining himself with one of his many toys. He can get overstimulated when he gets playing and will sometimes accidentally give a nip while playing with the humans here.

John enjoys having a comfy bed to hang out in and take long naps in. He is looking forward to a window where he can watch the goings-on outside. John is tolerant of being picked up and held but he doesn't love it and will try to jump from your arms when he has had enough. He would likely prefer to lay beside you or on your lap when he is looking for affection.

When it comes to the cats here, John does not seem to be phased by them, and likely would do alright in a home with another senior cat. He would need a proper introduction over time, and staff can assist the new home with ways to make this easier. We have not tested John with dogs at the shelter but again, he could do well with a senior dog who is used to living with cats.

John has been neutered and is up to date on his vaccines and has been cleared for adoption. If you have a home that would be suitable for John and the space in your heart to love this special, senior boy, please fill out an application https://quintehumanesociety.com/adopt.php

Wish list: Garbage bags, cat scratchers & cat ball towers for kitty playtime, and pate canned cat food.
