Lacey came to the Quinte Humane Society as an eight-week old kitten who had lived her whole life outside. She has spent the last few months in foster care to work on her socialization skills and receive some medical attention. In this time, she has lived with many cats and LOVES them. She would do best with another social cat as they help her come out of her shell, especially those that will play and cuddle with her. She can play a bit rough and her kitty friends would need to be able to tolerate this. A home with no dogs and no young children is necessary as she is frightened by sudden movements and some loud noises. Her cloudy eye is the result of an old ulcer and will be that way for life. This eye also has no function, but that certainly doesn't slow her down! Playing is one of her favourite things - the more toys the better! Lacey is very shy around new people and will still hiss a bit when she is scared. She also does not care to be picked up, but loves pets and cuddles when sitting on your lap. Lacey requires a home with lots of patience and understanding - one who will accept her personality as it is and not force her into situations which make her uncomfortable. Cat Adoption fee of $140 includes; Spay/Neuter, first vaccination, general deworming, advantage if needed, microchip, four weeks of free trial pet insurance and a free exam at a local participating vet. If you'd like to sponsor Lacey or another cat in need please call the shelter at 613-968-4673. Items needed:
