Meet Beluga!

Let’s “paws” to appreciate sweet baby Beluga!

Earlier this month we featured a kitten named Auk from the “Arctic Crew”! We’re happy to announce Auk found her forever, and now it’s her sister Belugas’ turn!

Beluga was born in care, one of six healthy teeny tiny kittens. Mom went in for an emergency spay and unfortunately, did not survive. These fragile lives were hand raised by one of our dedicated Animal Care Attendants, at only 3 days old they were syringe fed every 2 hours around the clock.

As you can see from the picture, Beluga has grown big and strong, and is ready to find her forever family!

She is now 7 months old, has been spayed, is up to date on vaccinations, deworming, and she’s been microchipped!

Growing up in a foster home helped ensure Beluga’s personality and social skills are top shelf. She has been exposed to cats, dogs, and children! She LOVES other feline friends, and hopes to make a furry friend(s) once adopted into her new family!

 

Like all newly adopted companion animals, Beluga will take time to settle in with her family. She’s only ever been exposed to a handful of people while in foster care. She prefers older children, who are calm and respectful. Too much noise can be frightening, but once Beluga settles in she’ll be making biscuits on your lap in no time!

Beluga should remain on quality kibble in her forever home, and continue receiving probiotics every day. This isn’t a tall order, just a sprinkle of powder on her dry food to help maintain healthy gut flora. (approximate cost= .50 cents per day)

Beluga is hopeful her only Christmas wish will come true- she’ll find a home for the pawlidays ! She’s even made a Christmas gift for her newly adoptive family (picture in comments- Beluga’s a modern day Picasso!)
