Today I introduce you to BIG Mac!
Big Mac hitched a ride with animal control on March 1st after roaming the area for quite some time. As I’m sure you can imagine he wasn’t in the greatest condition upon his arrival. He was thin, was missing fur, and was covered in superficial wounds. He looks as though he’s spent much of his life in the boxing ring, his ears are crinkled similar to that of a
Boxer with cauliflower ear. This can be caused by trauma or a severe infestation of ear mites. Because of the rough shape in which he arrived, a blood panel screening was completed and our sweet Big Mac is FIV positive.
Please don’t let his diagnosis deter you from considering him as your forever friend! Big Mac has been treated for all that was ailing him! His newly adoptive parents should be willing to commit to yearly vet visits, to ensure he is as healthy as he can be! Big Mac is feeling much better, and considering the rough life he’s had, he is an exceptionally balanced and friendly boy… toward humans.
Big Mac doesn’t entertain the idea of sharing his food, his toys, or his people with any other animals.
We feel Big Mac would be very successful in a home with children 6+, he is playful and loves mini toy mice and crinkle balls. Big Mac loves being pet and soaks up all the attention we’re willing to give him, but he isn’t an overly needy cat, he ventures off to do his own thing and returns promptly for more head scratches.
Big Mac is ready to settle down with his forever family. He’s looking forward to curling up at the end of your bed, and singing you songs because you’re taking too long in the shower.
Please open your heart and home to a deserving cat like Big Mac!
Big Mac has been neutered, vaccinated, and received his rabies vaccine. He’s been dewormed and his adoption will come with some extras from our Community Partners!
Wish list items: canned pate cat food, martingale collars for the dogs in care, small hidey houses for the cats.
