Tune into CJBQ 800 AM to listen live on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:25 AM for Featured Pets and other great information about QHS proudly sponsored by CJBQ, the station that cares about community!
Hades came into the care of HSHPE as a stray and was not claimed. He was injured when he arrived and had to have 2 of his toes amputated. This hasn’t slowed him down at all.
This sweet boy loves the attention of humans. When you open his cage he immediately starts rubbing his head on you trying to get pets. Hades loves having his head petted and scratched. He is a lap cat and will spend time curled up enjoying the affection he is receiving.
Hades loves a good snack. If you toss treats he will chase them anywhere and everywhere!
Other cats don’t seem to bother Hades, but staff feel he would do best in a home with another laid-back or submissive female cat. He has not been tested with dogs at this time, but this can be arranged with an approved application.
The staff has noticed that Hades seems to prefer the company of women over men. He can sometimes be fearful of the male volunteers. He has been on a visit to a local school and was fantastic with the children. He would do well with respectful children who are 6 years or older. Hades would certainly settle and learn to bond with any male that was to live in the home.
If you are looking for a laid-back feline friend to spend hours on the couch cuddling with, Hades is your guy!
Wish list: pated canned cat & kitten food, martingale dog collars, small animal enrichment items and heavy-duty garbage bags.
