This week we're rooting for Jazz!

She arrived in care of HSHPE in early June. She was brought in as a stray through animal control, and not a moment too soon! Jazz was very pregnant and not used to being around people. Thankfully she was picked up before she had a litter of kittens, who would also grow to be wary of people.

Jazz was placed in a wonderful foster home, and gave birth to three healthy kittens (Ella, Fitz and Gerald). They’ve all since found their forever homes, and now our paws are crossed for the lovely Jazz! She is shy and reserved in a shelter environment and unfortunately has been overlooked. She sports a beautiful blue pinstripe coat, and has the brightest lime colored eyes. She’s a very neat and dainty cat, always cleaning and styling her fur.

Here are some notes from her foster mom !

“Jazz - is lovely! Calm, gentle, very friendly and talkative. She has not been a lap cat nor has she shown any interest in toys while here (other than to inspect them before the kids play with them), but perhaps she has been distracted with other things haha. She will chat and trill whenever people are around. Jazz will always come to greet you when she sees you and loves chin and neck scratches. She enjoys sitting in the sunshine, perched on a window sill, watching the outside world. She can do this all day! Jazz is very accepting of our dog. They have not been formally introduced but will hang out with one on either side of the Plexiglas. She is a very good eater and loves, loves, loves her treats!!”

Jazz is patiently waiting to meet her new family! She would love a cat pal in her new home, and is open to the idea of sharing space with a respectful canine companion. Her adoption fee will include her spay, microchip, vaccinations, deworming and a gift card to a local pet store partner.
