Mini house tiger seeks her forever!
Pickles arrived in the care of HSHPE in late October of 2021. She had been hanging around an acreage and her finder knew she needed help. Pickles was in rough shape upon her arrival. She was covered in fleas and ticks, she was dehydrated and emaciated. Pickles wouldn’t have survived the winter, and we are so thankful she made her way into our care.
Pickles recovery was long. We ordered a blood panel to rule out any serious complications, and all tests came back normal, which was great news! Pickles was healthy she just needed some TLC! Because she was severely underweight we started her on a strict feeding schedule, she was offered several small meals throughout the day which helped her to gain weight at a gradual pace.
Pickles is now at her ideal weight! She has been spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, treated for internal and external parasites and the only thing she's missing now is a loving family!!
Pickles is a beautiful 2-year-old orange tabby cat, looking for a home where she is the star
of the show. She has unlimited space in her heart for humans but no space for other animals. Pickles is on a special diet tailored to food sensitivities and we recommend she stay on this food once adopted. She is a very playful and active cat who has a slight obsession with wand toys and laser pointers.
Pickles will thrive in a home with adults and children 10+. When you meet Pickles, it's hard not to fall in love! She is an extremely affectionate girl, who reaches up for hugs from her human caretakers! She loves us just as much as we love her.
Pickles is ready to start her new life! We’re open today from 12-4:30 pm, come on down to view Pickles, and the other animals patiently awaiting new homes.
