Today we are featuring the sweetest duo!

Rain and Puddles came into the care of HSHPE as strays who weren’t claimed. We estimate them to be 9 months old. Rain is a female blue tabby, and Puddles is a male orange tabby. These are the sweetest, most snuggly pair of kittens you’ll ever meet! Puddles likes to be near his humans constantly, while Rain is more independent and finds ways to keep herself entertained. Puddles will CAT-apult himself off of furniture and onto your shoulder just to be near you. Rain and Puddles are very playful young kittens, some favorite toys are plastic springs and sparkle balls. Chasing flies is also a favorite pastime, you’ll never have to rely on the fly swatter with these two around.

They experienced unknown trauma early in their lives and because of this Puddles has impaired vision. He is blind in his left eye and may need this eye removed later in life if it causes him any issues. He requires a close relationship with a veterinarian who will keep an eye, on his eye. Puddles can see shadows and changes in light, but his eyesight is very poor. Rain has some swelling in her bottom left eyelid but it doesn’t slow her down. Both Rain and Puddles have been to the vet numerous times while in our care and have finally been cleared for adoption!

Due to his impaired vision, puddles will take time to adjust to new environments and animals. He can become startled if snuck up on, but knows his sister’s scent and is comforted by her presence. Both would adjust to life with another feline friend, or a calm canine companion but the introductions must be gradual. They can both be startled by loud sounds, and we recommend them to a home with children who are 8+, or an adult-only home.

They’re two peas in a pod. She’s the rain to his puddle. They’re the best of friends and because of this, they must be adopted together. They’ve been each other’s constant in a world full of unknowns. Rain and Puddles find comfort in one another, and the bond they share is heartwarming .

Rain has been spayed, and Puddles neutered. They’re both up to date on vaccinations, and deworming and have had their yearly rabies vaccine. They’re ready to find their forever, together!

Both Rain and Puddles have been in foster care with one of our dedicated staff members, please give us a call if interested in these sweet kitties, and we’ll happily bring them to the shelter for a meet and greet!
