Mya is an approximately 2-year-old female. She came into the care of HSHPE as a stray that was not claimed. She was in rough shape with a severely damaged tail. After her 2-month stay, a spay and a tail amputation she is finally ready for her new furever home!

Mya is a sweet yet opinionated girl. She prefers attention on her terms and will let you know when she has had enough. She does not mind being picked up for short periods or hanging out on your lap for petting.

If you are looking for a cat to play with, she is your girl. Mya is extremely playful and loves toys of all varieties. She will certainly keep her new family entertained when she plays with her pet mice!

The other cats don’t seem to bother Mya too much, but she can be a bit dominant so a feline friend who was a little more laid-back would likely be a good fit for her. She wants to be the boss wherever she goes! She has not been dog tested but staff feels she would do best in a dog-free home. Due to her sometimes sassy personality, children in the home must be 8+ years old.

The holidays are coming and Mya would love to be in her new home for Christmas!
