Oswald came into our care on thanksgiving weekend as a scared, wounded kitten looking for a safe place to rest. He had gentle eyes and a sweet disposition despite a large wound to his right leg and bruising to his face. He received emergency care where it was confirmed he would need a leg amputation. At just 5 months he has endured more than most cats in their lifetime.
Oswald is such a trooper! After having his leg amputated he was placed in one of our awesome foster homes where he spent some time healing and is now back to being a spunky kitten! Oswald has a big personality. He has two modes- zoomies and cuddles. During zoomies, you will see flashes of this little guy running around the house. If you didn’t know better, you would think he had all four legs! He loves chasing and wrestling with his foster brother. Another cat is a must for Oswald, as he gets a lot of his confidence from having other felines around. He also loves his cat tree, and his favourite toy is a mouse that hangs from a doorway and anything that crinkles. Oswald is also very affectionate. He does not mind being picked up and has a very loud purr. He will often give nose boops and likes to be snuggled once he’s worn out from playtime. Oswald does sometimes nibble on fingers or toes when overstimulated. He is also fascinated with doors and should be watched carefully when you’re coming or leaving the house. Although he is doing very well with only three legs, stairs are understandably not his favourite thing! He should have access to all his necessities on one floor of the house so he isn’t forced to do stairs. This little guy is an amazing and resilient kitten who will make a wonderful addition to your home!
