Petey is a 10-month-old, male neutered hound mix. He was surrendered to us, and he has a full surrender sheet at the shelter’s front desk. Petey is both house trained and crate trained. He does know some basic commands like sit, lay down and stay, although being young still he could benefit from going to an obedience class. Petey needs some work with walking on the leash; he is VERY strong and will sometimes grab the leash and pull. This is something that could be easily fixed with some training. Petey has lived with men, women and cats. Although Petey seems to like children, we are suggesting he go to a home with older children as he is large and very strong. Petey has previously lived in an apartment, and would not do well being in an apartment again. He has too much energy and even with constant walks, apartment life just isn’t his thing. Petey needs a family with lots of time for walks, and maybe even a fenced in yard for him to run around and play.  If you are looking for a jogging partner, with some leash work, Petey could be the dog for you!

Adoption fee: $400.00 incl. spay/neuter, microchip, 1st vaccination, bordetella shot, 1st deworming, flea treatment (if necessary), four weeks free pet insurance and a free vet exam.
