Purrcilla is a 6-year-old female. She is shorthaired and is a red tabby with white. She came to us as a stray through animal control and was not claimed. Because of this, we do not know her history but have been getting to know her. Purrcilla is a friendly girl, you can always find her at the front of the cage, waiting for you to open it to give her attention. She really enjoys being pet and does not want you to stop. She will gently swat at you to get you to continue with petting her. Purrcilla would be good in a home with adults and older children. We do not know how she is with dogs but we have tested her with another cat. She did not like the one she met here, as she was far more energetic than she would like. She would likely be okay in a home with another senior cat who is laid back and likes to do its own thing. She would need to have a slow introduction to her new kitty friend and her owners will need to have patience as the first meeting may not be perfect. Purcilla has some tartar and is currently eating a dental diet as a preventive measure and hopefully she will not need to have a dental in the future. Purrcilla is a real sweetheart and she can’t wait to meet her new family!

The Quinte Humane Society adopts out cats and kittens onsite at the shelter or from PetSmart & Tropical Gardens Pet Shop.
