Some Bunny to Love!

  We’re hopping back in time and celebrating International Rabbit Day!

September 24th is a day to promote, feature, and raise awareness for the many companion rabbits patiently awaiting adoption in shelters across North America!

  We always have bunnies available for adoption, and for some strange reason they’re a very overlooked and misunderstood companion animal! Rabbits make WONDERFUL pets! They’re smart, and sweet, and have very unique personalities.

A little history on the bunnies available for adoption at HSHPE!

  Nancy, Jane and Max are siblings from our “Stranger Things” litter. All were born in our care and raised in a fantastic foster home, and because of this are all well-adjusted, curious little critters. Their litter box habits are improving with each day that passes! They enjoy being cuddled and spending time with our volunteers!

  Birch- was found as a stray in Quinte West. He was a very well socialized bunny, and must have been a loved pet at some point in his life. He has settled in really well with us here but is patiently waiting for a family to call his own!

  Tracy and Evelyn- we’re surrendered by their previous home due to a change in lifestyle. They’re a bonded pair and must be adopted together. These girls are just a sweet as they appear, and twice the fun!

  All rabbits adopted through HSHPE are spayed or neutered! This eliminates the risk of ovarian/ uterine cancers! Altering your rabbit will also help to curb aggressive behavior and allow for easier litter box training.

Adopters are offered lifelong support after adoption through our partner Logan who is the founder of Black Rabbit Rescue Fund.

  Your newly adopted rabbit will also receive a gift card from Ren’s Pets.
