Star is a 7-year-old neutered male who has been at the shelter since September. He came in with another cat and is currently loose in our upstairs cat room. He seems to tolerate the other cats but r4eally enjoys just doing his own thing. Star has been enjoying spending some time hanging out in our Volunteer Coordinator’s office while she works. He will curl up in the chair and enjoy a few pets here and there. He does enjoy being pet and he will come up to you when you enter the room. He prefers to keep his feet on the ground and not being picked up. Star took some time to settle in here, and his new family will need to be patient as he will take time to get comfortable in his new environment. He would prefer a home with adults and older children only. Star does need to have a dental cleaning which will have to be done before he goes to his new home. If you are interested in meeting Star, let staff know, and they can take you to meet him.

Cat Adoption fee of $140 includes; Spay/Neuter, first vaccination, general deworming, advantage if needed, microchip, four weeks of free trial pet insurance and a free exam at a local participating vet.

The Quinte Humane Society adopts out cats and kittens onsite at the shelter or from PetSmart & Tropical Gardens Pet Shop. Items Needed: Small cat scratch boxes or toys (that will fit in our cages), new toys for Christmas stockings, bleach & small kitty cones or spay shirts to keep them from licking after surgeries.
