Thor is a 6-year-old neutered male who came in as a stray and was never claimed. He has been with us for a few weeks now and has settled in nicely. He is a big boy weighing in over 15 lbs. Since being with us at the shelter, Thor has been put on a portion feeding and is doing quite well with it. He really loves his food and looks forward to his wet food treat every morning. Thor can be a bit shy at first, but once he is settled in, he is quite the love bug. He is always at the front of the cage chatting at you, he tries to get everyone’s attention whether it be for affection or food! He loves being pet. He is tolerant to be picked up for very short periods of time, but truly prefers to have all 4 feet on the ground. He has quickly become a staff favourite around here due to his friendly personality and need for being pet. Thor would love to have a new home for the holidays! Cat Adoption fee of $140 includes; Spay/Neuter, first vaccination, general deworming, advantage if needed, microchip, four weeks of free trial pet insurance and a free exam at a local participating vet.

The Quinte Humane Society adopts out cats and kittens onsite at the shelter or from PetSmart & Tropical Gardens Pet Shop. Items Needed: Small cat scratch boxes or toys (that will fit in our cages), new toys for Christmas stockings, bleach & small kitty cones or spay shirts to keep them from licking after surgeries.
