This week we are featuring Head Tilt Tippen!
This sweet boy was found wandering along Highway 37, he didn’t know how to hitchhike but thankfully was picked up by animal control, and brought into our care. One of the first things we noticed upon intake, was that he has a significant head tilt. This is most often caused by a ruptured eardrum. As I’m sure you can imagine, this would have been a traumatic and painful event, but we’re thankful to report Tippen has fully recovered from his injury, and is excited to find his forever home.
This big man is always giving people the "side-eye.. but he can’t help it.. his head will remain tilted for the duration of his life. Tippen is an affectionate boy, if he had things his way his new owner would offer a warm lap, and dole out chin scratches all day long. Like many cats, Tippen does have some boundaries and does not like to be picked up. Due to Tipens head tilt, he isn’t as agile or balanced as a typical cat. He cannot jump up onto high perches because his equilibrium isn’t what it once was.
We feel Tippen would enjoy the company of a feline friend in his new home, he hasn’t been tested with dogs but this can be arranged with an approved adoption application. An ideal home for Tippen would be one with cat-savvy children, stairs may pose a challenge for Tippen so having his feeding station, and bed on the lower level of the home would be ideal. This lovely lad has had a rough start in life, he is ready to settle down with a family who will love him for all of his unique quirks.
Please consider Tippen as your new forever friend, he would love a home of his very own for the
holidays!
