Trooper is a 2-year-old male neutered blue tabby. He is a very handsome boy, although this wasn’t always the case. Trooper came to us as a stray in June. He was sick with a very bad upper respiratory infection, as well as Calici virus. He was also afraid of the staff trying to help him. Right away, staff started him on a cocktail of medications, fluids and force-feeds. It took him quite a while to get better but with the love, care and medical attention Trooper started to show promise. He was coming around to his caregivers and showing interest in the other cats. Trooper was neutered so he could be loose with the other cats. He seems to really enjoy the company of the other kitties here, and would like a home where he had another playful kitty friend. Besides wanting to play, Trooper does enjoy a good cat bed, where he can curl up and take a nice nap. Trooper is showing signs that he may always have a touch of upper respiratory, he will be completely fine, but if stressed, can show symptoms. Overall, Trooper has been through a lot, and he has turned out to be a wonderful cat!

The Quinte Humane Society adopts out cats and kittens onsite at the shelter or from PetSmart, Tropical Gardens Pet Shop or Bestie’s Pet Spa in Belleville ON.
