Wayland is an approximately 16 month old Husky mix, who was transferred to QHS from a local animal control, after he was found running loose and his owners did not claim him. He is white and tan, of a medium size and has two lovely blue eyes. Although he came into us as a stray, a member of the public recognized him and was able to give us some background information about his previous home. Wayland is still a young dog, who would greatly benefit from general obedience training. He has lots of energy, as most young dogs do and he likes to run. LOVES to run, actually, so Wayland will need a home with a fully fenced in yard. Wayland has pretty good manners, although he will jump up out of excitement; he knows how to sit, shake paw and lay down. Wayland has previously lived with other dogs and cats. He can play rambunctiously but is overall friendly with them, as long as food is not involved. Food, Wayland loves food. So much so, that he's a resource guarder and you can't take it away from him. Due to this possessive behavior, he is not recommended in a home with children and he will require further training to help curb the habit. Adoption fee: $400.00 incl spay/neuter, microchip, 1st vaccination, bordetella shot, 1st deworming, flea treatment (if necessary), four weeks free pet insurance and a free vet exam.
