Jennifer Nicholls, Finance Supervisor

Jenn has been working at QHS since 2011 starting as an integral volunteer, and becoming a permanent team member in 2018. Jenn is our Finance Supervisor, a member of our Fundraising committee and our Rescue Coordinator, helping us place animals in dozens of rescues across Ontario and beyond when they require more medical or behavioural care than we can provide. In 2019 she became the shelter liaison for the Facebook group called Empty Ontario Shelters which helps well over 100 Humane Societies, pounds, and rescues connect in one spot and coordinate rescue of dogs. Jenn also created the Facebook page Quinte Lost Dog Network in 2011 which helps reunite lost dogs in the Quinte Region with their owners.
Jenn has always been an animal lover and has a background in Equine Technology. She has fostered over 350 orphaned kittens or pregnant/nursing moms and kittens, as well as some litters of puppies. Currently she owns one cat (a foster fail) and two elderly dogs. She is passionate about making a difference in the community and the lives of all animals that QHS helps!
