If you spot an unattended pet in a vehicle that appears to be suffering from heat exhaustion, do not hesitate to:
- Call your local Police
- Belleville Police Service:613-962-3456
- Ontario Provincial Police: 1-888-310-1122
- For Emergency Situations Call 911
- Collect a description of the car including license plate
- Take a photo or a video as evidence
- Ask customer service at the store to page the owner
- Try to avoid confrontations
