Ford is a 2-year-old neutered male. He is a red tabby with white and has short hair. Ford came from a colony of indoor/outdoor cats. He is accustomed to living with other cats, and being that he is shy; another more social cat would really help him figure life out as a pet cat. Ford will take some time to settle in to his new environment and will spend some time hiding until he is comfortable. Once he warms up to you and gets to know you, he is a very sweet cat. He can be protective over “his things” and will swat or nip. We are looking for a home with no young children because of his protective nature as well as his shyness. He would be great in a home with adults only, or older, cat savvy kids. If his new family had a catio, or time to take him out on a harness & leash, we are sure he would enjoy that. If you have a quiet home and time to get to know this sweet boy, come meet him at the shelter, 527 Avonlough Road, Belleville. Cat Adoption fee of $140 includes; Spay/Neuter, first vaccination, general deworming, advantage if needed, microchip, four weeks of free trial pet insurance and a free exam at a local participating vet. The Quinte Humane Society adopts out cats and kittens onsite at the shelter or from PetSmart & Tropical Gardens Pet Shop. Please call the shelter at 613-968-4673 ahead of time to ensure the cat you are interested in is still available or if you have any questions.
